Creative Writing

Yeah, I like to write.  More often than not, it's simply just putting my thoughts down on paper, then trying to make sense of what I've written.

My first exercise in web-writing was a mock newspaper announcement I wrote announcing my death at age 85.   I've gotten TWO positive comments on it! WOOHOO!! Most of my friends who've read it found it was a bit morbid (not to mention a bit self-serving), and some actually gave me grief about it, saying stuff like "Life is precious, be thankful you have your health, " (etc).  They missed the point completely.  The fact is, I wrote the piece as a sort of celebration of my life (Hell, it says I live until age 85!) and of some of my future past-history.  Plus, I added in a few of my friends and acquaintances for good measure.  I've always wanted to be a part of World History, so what's wrong with a little fantasizing?

NOVELLA UPDATE!  I've decided NOT to post it after all. I'm gonna finish it up and see if I can't get it published..

In addition, I've been writing a sort of Shakespearean tragedy for the last year or so, I just can't seem to pick it up again.  Chances are, it'll never happen, but who knows?  I'll also be typing in some of my trademark "horrible prose" that I seem to write when I get depressed...more on that later...I wanna get it copyrighted so nobody can plagiarize it.
